Nathan Dubose, PLS - Owner
Nathan began his career as a Land Surveyor in the summer of 2002 with Alliance Engineering. Little did he know at that time that he had just entered his professional career. He began to really enjoy the profession and after marrying his wonderful wife, he took a position at R.B. Pharr & Associates, Land Surveying and Mapping in 2003. While at R.B. Pharr, he earned an Associate’s degree in Land Surveying, later becoming licensed in North Carolina in 2007 and in South Carolina in 2008. He was privileged to work alongside multiple registered land surveyors there over the years, obtaining a vast array of knowledge in the land surveying field. After a great tenure with R.B. Pharr & Associates, he has partnered with Andy Baker to form Cornerstone Professional Land Surveying, PLLC.
Andy Baker, PLS - Owner
Andy began his land surveying career in 1997 with a Charlotte based surveying firm. There he gained over 25 years of experience and climbed the ladder to become the company’s Vice President. He became a Professional Land Surveyor, licensed in North Carolina in 2004 and licensed in South Carolina in 2007. After 18 years working as a Project Manager, Andy partnered with his colleague, Nathan DuBose, to form Cornerstone Professional Land Surveying, PLLC. Andy has extensive experience providing varied surveying services to a large range of clientele. Andy was raised in Union County where he still resides with his wife, Kacey. He enjoys time with his family in the great outdoors; boating, fishing and hunting.
Bret Medlin - Project Manager
Bret was born and raised in Union County, NC, where he still lives on family land with his wife and three children. Bret attended Central Piedmont Community College where he graduated with an Applied Science degree in Surveying Technology in 2008. While pursuing his education, he commenced his career in surveying in the winter of 2006. He joined a local surveying firm working as an instrument operator. Over the years, he progressed to crew chief, then CAD technician, and finally to project manager. This two-decade journey has granted him experience in virtually every role within the surveying field. Bret joined the Cornerstone family in the summer of 2023 as a project manager. He is grateful to be part of a noble profession that is instrumental in the development of community and the preservation of property ownership.
